So...the e-mail update sidebar widget actually DOES work. Problem is...I JUST NOW received notification that the blog was updated YESTERDAY at 2:44pm.
I am not sure I'd rely on e-mail updates exclusively to tell you when to check the blog.
Dang blogger anyway.
